pow's during wrol/shtf
« on: September 07, 2011, 09:31:13 PM »
We have touched on many different areas in the wrol/shtf world, but what about the people that you may have to "keep secured?"

It could turn out to be a member of your family/group/team that just wiggs out,or an enemy group member you catch in your store area.

I know what most are gona say to the last, "just shoot'em!" But i'm talking about a senario where you must take prisoners or restrain a group member.
Where do you keep them? How do you treat them? How far do you let it go if they become a liability? What if it's your son, your daughter, your wife or uncle?
To be honest,i really havnt thought about it enough to have a feasable answer!

my reaction will depend on the circumstances of the situation if it's a group member

but i sure as hell ain't wasting any food, water, ect... on someone who surrendered after trying to kill me and my group for what ever reason

There's so many senarios that can happen that it's impossible to think of every one.

even if you named out one scenario, it's still impossible to say, it's all on a person to person thing

For family or group members i keep small cashes of Tranqs for chemical restraints. Some times drugs are good. As far as Outsiders. it really depends. Do they have intel i need? what circumstansances did they come to my AO? The best answer i have for that one is Im not really sure, and its something that i have contemplated in the past. GreatQuestion SP. This is the kind of question that cannot easily be answered and will end up creating more questions than answers. But your gonna makem think.

Thanks wj,it is one of those things that you dont know what your going to do until it happens. But the way i see it is,you have your store rooms, sleeping quarters, armory and all the other depts. But what about the "quarantine" area?
One wigged out person can damage the groups calm.
But outsiders ARE going to have intel about the "outside" that your going to want.
Plus, you might need to actualy go and "aquire" a person from the outside for the sole purpose to extract intel. These are some of the things that cross my mind in the "what if" dept.

I think the general jist is that while this is something to consider, the possibilities are too numerous to discuss on here.

True that!
I just like bringing up things that cross my mind and see if others have thought about it as well. Maybe possible solutions to any one certain problem that may arise.
We do have some very intelligent ppl among us on this great forum and i'm not one of them...lol..
Thats why i ask questions.

when i think of having to detain someone. what comes to my mind is this : my brothers wife is a very simple women that really has not seen much so i know that if WROL happens i know she will break and freak out... i love my sister inlaw so i wont put a bullet in her head so i know that if we tie her down and let her freak out for 24hrs she will be alright by then other then being pissed at me.

Solitary confinement, bound and gagged. If you take more than one enemy POW, make sure you keep them separate. If it's a friendly, lock em up in a closet, bound an gagged if that floats your boat.

Notice I like to tie em up and keep em from talkin'? lol ^-^

Treat them how you want to, I know. http://straightprep.com/forum/index.php?topic=143.0 comes to mind.

blindfold,  restrain, torture, Release at an undisclosed location so he/she can spread the word about their pain & suffering. That'll for sure keep people out of you neck of the woods for a while. Until a Posse is in route & by then you outa be gone or better prepared for an awesome ambush.
