I'm viewing this on my iPhone, but that looks like
a broken firing pin.
-
ok what i was afraid of, cause only place i could think it came from is the bolt , like it would slide back up in there
thanks for the input

An AK not working? Impossible..
-
i hate to say it but yes the impossible has happend. one of the reasons i got an ak
-
lol i had an IO's trigger guard rivets fly out on me.
they are total piles.
send it in for their "lifetime warranty" in a few months you will be sent a replacement rifle, sell that POS and get an FEG AMD-65, they are awesome guns and are only like $440 from centerfire.

Am I the only one who noticed the wheelchair in the pic?
-
is the wheelchair a big deal ?, everyone always wants to comment on that. Im in a wheelchair for the most part and it doesnt stop me from shooting. This topic was for the firing pin/part that broke and fell out not wheelchair

Should have bought a custom one from us, at least it would have worked well.
-
theres a probally lot of things i should have done or bought but that was a impulse buy. One good reason why i hate impulse buying .

Bad News Everybody,
(http://www.ak-47.net/images/bolt.gif)
That does look like a firing pin.
Do take RS762's advise. He has been though this.

Now that I'm at my home computer, it may not be "broken", but sure as shit it is the firing pin.
I'm trying to wrap my head around how it came out while all put together.
Check your boltface and see if the firing pin hole is enlarged. If it came out the front, that's bad.
Otherwise, you're looking at something else that is missing or broken, like your firing pin retaining pin.
This may or may not be a simple fix, more than likely it is not worth the shipping back to IO.
If you have the cash to buy the above mentioned FEG AMD-65 or perhaps one of the Serbian/Yugo AKM rifles
do that now. Keep the IO and fix it- come next month, it may be worth A LOT more than what you paid.

Naw its no big deal. If you can do what makes you happy, you should.

Thanks for the input, the firepin hole isnt enlarged or anything, so it has to be the firing pin retaing etc. ill post a pic of the bolt in a few just to show yall what im working with lol. Also i had a few people mention the yugo, are those the same as the yugo papm70?
-
Zastava M70.
I've seen them cheaper and they're a pretty damn nice gun.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. My advise, send an email to the company. I used to own an IO Inc. AK and LOVED IT. Out of the thousands and thousands of rounds I put through it I only had a handful of malfunctions and only one was a minor issue with a spring slipping. I fixed that on the range with no tools. So I don't know if you got a new one that someone at the shop had screwed with or maybe it was used and someone else had fucked with it. I know it is frustrating but you have recourse. Still, don't knock IO till you at least give them the courtesy of contacting them about the issue, even if it was a used gun. I bet you would be pleasantly surprised.
Best of luck!

pleasantly surprised.
Certainly not the words i would use to describe their customer service.
Unless of course you like getting the runaround and multi-month wait to receive your rifle.
