I think one of my summer projects is complete.

It looks deceptively simple but the upgrades are numerous
BBL chopped to 18" and threaded for a choke, XS big dot sight, Choate +2 extension, Hogue fighting length over molded furniture, ESTAC side saddle, MI sling adaptor and Condor one point sling, Surefire G2X in CDN mount

Great shotty currahee
How is the ESTAC side saddle working? I heard some guys telling that they were losing cartridges while training.
I heard great things from SOE cards also.
I'm fucked because none of those seem to do international shipping :S

I've got about 100 rounds through it with the side saddle on and haven't had any problem, it's a little slower than the Tacstar side saddles I was using before, especially to get rounds IN- but I think I will be able to get them out fast enough after some practice.

I like it Curahee. Interested in getting your view of using a single-point sling over a two-point sling in a fighting shotgun set-up?

2 point sling can potentially interfere with the action if you grab the sling with the forend. You dont want anything near the forend.

bassically identical to my gun but i run a metal side saddle, a mesa 6 round to be exact. I have my opinions about velcro cards. I find them to be a dissadvantage as you lose the fast slug changeout when feeding the tube from the side saddle instead of from the vest. It also requires constant replacement of the side saddle cards adding another step in the process. My side saddle has slugs only. I feed the tube from the vest. Feeding from the vest is just as fast but requires no resupplying like a velcro side saddle.

Yep, I prefer two point slings on rifles, but it doesn't work well with pumps.

I view the shotgun as grab and go, meaning no second line goes with it. I load slugs or 00 from the side saddle. When I do carry extra ammo it is in the form of a cheapo belt or stripper on my belt.

@ Currahee- ya i can understand that. If your gearin up you might aswell take an AR not a shotgun. I guess im a little different because im in CA and a pump shotgun is the best choice compared to an AR with a bullet button and 10 rnd mags. So i gear up with the shotgun.

Nice, I'm still trying to find someone to thread my Mossberg for tactical choke I got a few months back. Gunsmiths are suddenly rare in these parts. I'm currently debated about taking my stock off though and going back to just a pistol grip. :-\ I don't love the recoil, but I can live with it and it'll make it easier to carry in my truck.

I have my shotty with a Magpul MS3 sling, that sling can be used as 2 point or 1 point sling, and has a quick detach.
1 point sling is useful to free your hands to do quick tasks.
2 point is better for long walks where no contact is expected.
No sling is better for combat, upon contact I would hit the quick detach, that way you can move around better, shoot from the left side etc.
I know, if I need to transition to secondary I might lose the shotgun, but who cares, at the moment I need to transition, my shotgun isn't solving my current problem.
BTW: My primary is a shotgun because in Argentina we already have an "assault weapons" ban since '94.

Hello all
I see a Good Shotgun as a part of my Preps, Mine is set up simular and I see it as one of the weapons I use not the only one! A shotty can do many things many other firearms can't and I like it's versitility, good Job Cur
