I'll do a review ASAP. I expect, like all the other BCE products, it's gonna be awesome.
As of right now, they aren't due out for several months. A jealous friend of mine called
to see if he could pre-order one and was told 7-9months. >:D
There are, as I'm told as of late last week, only 10 in existence. I own 2.
One is specific to the Krink and 105 guns, the other straight full-size 74.
The pin that holds the comp in place on the Krink is at roughly 10 o'clock
and the 74 is at 12 o'clock. These are for the 24mm thread.
Anyway, here's a peak at 'em
SS comp just rolled in the pic, it's for an AR15

Can't wait to hit the range and give it a go.
I'll run one on my 105, I'm about a week or so out on completing that build,
and I'll also run one on a Arsenal 74.

Yup. I advised them that they should make a 24mm version (I wasn't the only one, of course!). Good stuff.
Should cut into Manticore sales handily.
ETA: This means I should probably give Grant a call
-
I honestly can't see these things taking 9 months to hit the market.
They're just too cool. I hope they're out sooner.

You better video tape it for use.
Just name it something else or keep it within emails. :)
If it has to stay a secret

AWESOME! I have been wondering about if they would do this for the 74'.
-
That looks nice! They probably aren't gonna make something like that for the 47 right? The AR guys get the majority of the toys, at least the 74 is gonna see it.
Yeah, I know, the 47 is an almost 70 year old design. I'm not that far from being that myself though.

They already have a 47' version available. Check em' out. http://battlecomp.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11&products_id=34

That's pretty cool! Thanks Lead. It's nice to find a company showing us 47 enthusiasts some love. I look through the Cheaper Than Dirt catalog and it shows 2 pages of AK accessories and 20 pages for the AR's. There may be 12 million AR's in the country, but come on, there were 7.5 million AK's the last time I looked like 3 years ago.

No secret keeping needed. I'll do a video for sure.

Hows the concussion on the BC for the AR? I run a yhm and it's like front row pyro at a motley crue show. :o
-
On my 10.3in. gun, pyro for sure. Really nice on the longer guns. Minimal flash and concussion.
-
Whats the point the ak 74 has a great break out of the box?
-
Not when you're standing next to it, let alone standing next to one in a room or hallway.

Everyone says that, but I don't mind it at all. As long as its in the caliber its designed to be used out of. When you start uppin that pressure it becomes a little bit painful. ( like my FAL lol )
-
It's not bad but what I notice is that I get the squints...that's the best I can describe it.
I squint or wince when I get hit with the concussion. And the concussion is directional.
When jammin' down a hallway and you and your buddy are blastin' away
it sucks to be squinting while maintaining target acquisition.
Like I said though, I like using short guns and you do still get the concussion.
With the longer barrels the concussion seems centered around the comp, within inches.
Aside from that though, I don't tend to agree with the notion that the 74 comp is any good really.

Here's a vid of Travis Haley comparing different muzzle devices. He runs an AKBC, PWS, and a slant brake. What's linked here is just the 24mm version.

I absolutely refuse to run a BC on any barrel less than 16". I won't run any traditional comp on a 5.56. I'm not a gamer. I personally find far more utility in hiding flash.
On short barrels, man o man I can't stand any sort of comp, not even the BC. I'll tell you from experience, I'd much rather be in a shoot house with a partner with a 10.3" CQBR with an A2 than someone with a 16" AR with a Surefire MB556k comp.
