Congratulations Alex.  Model 88 is  a good general purpose shotgun.  My step son has one and loves it.

Is this gonna be your primary? If so, what kind of web gear do you plan to get for it?

First shotgun I ever bought was a Mossberg 500.  Never should have gotten rid of it.  Funny I still have my old ass Maverick 88 I picked up a year later.   For the money a Maverick is an awesome first firearm.  For more money an 870 is better.

Hello all

Ron l HERE  WELL COON ASSES IS A SLANG FOR THE CAJUNS AND A FEW OTHERS!!! I feel that a shotgun is a critical part of Defense weapons! So many capability as well as functions I see it as the Swiss Army Knife of firearms! Te weight to them thats is never a place to go!! I see a few different ways to carry sheels in bandollers as well as small pouches and they do take up some vollum and have weight to it!

Always wondered what that meant and now I know.
