Galil's
« on: September 02, 2012, 09:48:00 PM »
Anybody use one? Are they good rifles? I need some feedback on them.
Fan out your shots. We want everyone to get some.

Yeah, Galil's are awesome.  Almost like a mix between an AK and an AR.  Very reliable, but normally they do shoot 5.56.  I think I remembered hearing mags might hard to find, though.  Don't quote me on that.

Galil's are awesome.
Good luck finding one though.

A Century Arms Golani is a poor choice...

Seen a couple, heavy, compared to a regular AR or AK. But a solid battle rifle nonetheless.

If you can get a Galil get a galil.
I wouldn't recommend using a Golani in place of one though, they are extremely fun to shoot.

it may be a great rifle but buying mags is gonna be a bitch and you cant standardize your groups weapons with it

Who built it? MSA makes a mag adapter to run ar mags. galils are great i want one so bad, is the barrel an original IMI nitride treated barrel? IMI receiver? most of the adapters will only work on IMI guns. And from my understanding the nitride treated barrels are better than chrome lined. Just throwing that out there because there is a company offering nitride treated ar barrels. But in general as much as i want a a galil dont buy one for your MBR, go ak (47 or 74) or an AR-15/m4gerie. Thats my 2 cents.

Kinda like an FN/FAL.  You know they actually exist, but hard to get ahold of...
