Max Velocity's Patriot Dawn is a Home Run

Ordered Max Velocity's newest book Patriot Dawn Friday and just finished it this afternoon. From the time I started reading the book till this afternoon it was hard to put down.

The book's storyline is relative to today's political scene which is great; however the biggest thing I took away from the story were some down to earth skills we might need in the future. Velocity has some extensive military experience however I never felt lost as he wove tactics and described battle scenes throughout the novel.

If you like Matt Bracken you will love this novel!

I have traded a few emails with Max earlier today because he has another book, non-fiction out called Contact.  It is a book written for preppers to be used in conjunction with books like U.S. Army Ranger Handbook. Once I receive then read that book I will give you another review.

Via I email I asked Max what of his DIY combat books should I buy. He asked what we were using and I told him the Ranger handbook. He told me that Contact was a very good companion book to the Ranger handbook.

I have not ordered the book as yet. I want the "book in hand" version vs. an ebook. 

To be quite frank with you, I have been busier than a one armed paper hanger of late.
