Ballistics Information:
Muzzle Velocity: 1722 fps
Muzzle Energy: 560 ft. lbs.

I just picked all this up. After work one day. ( Traded my Kimber for another piece and some cash. Well the cash was burning a hole in my pocket, big time ) I was driving home and decided to swing into this living room size gun store. They had an assortment of pistols a few rifles and shotgun. Everything was competitively priced not screwing the costumer but just trying to pay the bills. Prices that I haven't really seen since before the government planned and executed the false flag in CT. Yes, I know I know. I should stick to calibers that are not relied on through importation.
( Winchester is making their own ) and I should have gotten something in .40 or a more common caliber but I think I really got a good deal on this one ladies ( TG, Tgirl, JM, Vodka ) & Gents ( Everyone else....not you kenny )  O0 Just playin guys.  :P  Anywho, I picked this up for $270.00 Taxes included. Guy wanted to $269.00 I told him I'd buy it if he threw in a box of ammo. He agreed then went for the box, turned out he didn't have the box so he knocked it down to $249.00 ( If you check the books. That is what the dealers are paying ) Am I correct gun store owners? My primary reason for getting this is the flat bullet trajectory, its rugged build, and its ability to punch through some body armor. It also has a great feel, kind of like a browning high power or a 1911, it is a single action pistol just like my other 1911's so it should fall right into place around these parts.

So for a grand total of. $480.00 I picked up a hand gun capable of punching though glass, body armor, walls, and people. With $500 rounds of reloadable brass. Or I could have gotten a Glock 22 and 0 ammo and start off with collecting .40 from scratch and adding to the $480.00 the Glock would have cost me.

Regardless I think I did good and I'm happy. Pics and range time to follow.

The nickname (and well-earned)for the 7.62 x 25 Tok round is the "commie vest-puncher." [url=http://yoursmiles.org/p-m

Been looking around to upgrade the horrible plastic grips. Would love to find someone who could do G10 grips for the pistol. If anyone works with G10 or maybe even micarta, please let me know. I found some grip options, but haven't pulled the trigger (pun intended) yet, as it won't be exactly cheap.

I am definitly getting a Tokarev once I turn 21 this September. I love the gun and the punch that the 7.62x25 has.

7.62x25 is such a light recoil round (to me at least), so easy to keep on target, and flies nice and straight.

The 5.7mm is a joke.  Look at the energy difference!  'Nuff said.

Sure there's an energy difference.   But if I recall, this conversation seems to be about defeating armor?  It's well know that 5.7, loaded with the right projectile, will cut through IIIA like butter.  I've never heard that about 7.62x25.  If it will, please enlighten me.

my ice pick will go through the armor as well
but what good is that if it won't do shit to whats on the other side of the armor

thats my problem with the 5.7

One we aren't talking about 5.7

It's an M57

But yes....5.7 will defeat armor as well.

Last time I checked there was a fair amount of 7.62x25 available here in People Republic of Канада.

Few years ago you could buy the Norinco knock off of the Tokarev for 100 bucks.

Only think you need now is a Bizon submachine gun on the same caliber.
