Looking for Bolt Carrier Assembly
« on: August 12, 2012, 03:05:43 PM »
I usually buy my AR parts from Bravo Company so I have been waiting for their high quality Bolt Carrier Assembly Kit to come back in - Well it hasn't. http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-AR15-Bolt-Assembly-MPI-p/bcm%20bolt%20assemly%20mp.htm

I have three brand spanken new M16 bolt carrier's but they are useless without the bits and parts that go into them.

So here is my question:

Who else sells a top quality bolt carrier assembly kit?

Thanks.

you couldn't just order the individual parts separately? i mean, how "high quality" does a 1/4" extractor pin really need to be? not trying to be a smartass. hopefully you see what I'm saying.

Oh I know NOLA. I hate ordering things individually. I am a "one and done" kind of guy.  :))

You could order the parts from any Shotgun News. There is always a vendor or two selling each M16 part on a list.

WMD guns. you can either send them yours and get it coated with the nibx high speed awesomeness or buy one of theres, not sure what make they are though.

i would buy DD, BCM or LaRue from another source personally. and have it sent in for a coating.

If you're looking for 100% comparable with BCM, pound for pound, spec to spec- Daniel Defense is your option.
They're always my first choice anyway. Just a personal preference thing I guess.

If you step outside the onesy-twosy stuff, let me know. I'll put you in touch with a main Contract manufacturer. You can get the DOD's leavin's. Or at least be on the over-run list.

Thx Technique.

My first choice was DD however they have communicated to me that they are BO'd across the public market. They directed me to Brownells who wrote me that the next load they will receive is at the end of Sept (Maybe).

I contacted Colt however they have not responded (2 weeks now) to my inquire.

Pretty simple: I am looking for a mil spec complete bolt assembly for my M16 carriers. You would think there would be oodles of suppliers out there as the war (s) are voluming  down

Is the demand so high or is the governments thumb pressing down on small businesses to the degree they can't meet demand?
