Title: Looking for an AK handguard!

I currently have a Tapco Intrafuse hand guard on it, I like the heat shield on the lower but Im beginning to think there is probably a better simple hand guard out there available that wont bankrupt me.  Any suggestions?

Does it need a rail on it if not get the k-var handguards.

No, not really looking for a rail.  Just looking for one that has good heat protection! lol

I rock a UTG rail with a Magpul AFG2.  Those UTG rail covers are pretty thick.  I can shoot that thing all day long without heat issues.  I'll try to get a picture up tomorrow.
