Lol!! Red jacket is damn expensive!! Most if not all the AKs they sell are just half assed Saiga sporter conversions that they don't even bother changing out the hand guard, gas block, or front sight/ non threaded muzzle end for authentic AK parts. If you are handy with power tools and have a shop press, you can have yourself an Arsenal quality AK for $250 less. I would know, I just did mine [url=http://yoursmiles.org/p-m I agree with what they are saying, go AK 74 like Arsenal, buy a lot of mags (they are a bitch to find the surplus mags now at a good price. I was getting they for $10 a mag 7 months ago!) then buy surplus sealed 5.45 cheap and stack it deep! The savings on ammo alone make the AK well worth it. You wont feel guilty about going through 100 or 200 rounds in a training session like you would for the AR. If cost is not an issue and you love the ergonomics of the AR, then by all means go AR but buy quality. If you are on an airplane that is crashing to the ground, are you going to ask for the cheapest parachute to save your life? Money comes and goes as well as can be regained again but your life is another story.
