Gas Mask Filter Shelf Life
« on: December 03, 2012, 12:18:58 PM »
Whats the shelf life of a gas mask filter? I'll be getting my first gas mask in a few months or whenever I got money to spend. Also I don't know much about Gas Masks so keep it simple please.

Here's an old post that answers your shelf life question:

You might want to read the whole thread too.

If I were looking for a top quality mask [better field of view, better seal, more comfortable (lightweight, conforms to many face shapes & sizes)] at a reduced price right now, I would check out this one for $99.95  >>>  http://www.keepshooting.com/finnish-m95-gas-mask.html  <<<
This mask is also known as the "Scott M-95".  They normally run at $200+.  I payed just under $200 for mine many years ago.  Although before ordering, I would call and make sure it is a regular/large size, and not a small.

EDIT:  I called and they say the mask is the regular/large size.  I'm thinking about ordering another one for my household.
