The U.S. government's sites have changed most dramatically since the Fukushima meltdowns. It's no longer as easy to access federal radiation data as it was when the government was publishing lab results to an open-data system in the Spring of 2011. Nonetheless, EPA's Radnet system remains the most extensive and reliable radiation monitoring system in the U.S. that the public can access. Forbes

I do not own a geiger counter.
Nor have I stocked up on pills (perhaps a silly oversight considering the relative cost)

What my latest "conviction" comes away with is, that "all out" nuclear war (or even a State Sponsored EMP) is the least likely scenario.    (Carrington Events in our gathering Solar Maximum notwithstanding).

 The Roman model of incremental decline seems most likely (reference Kurt Schlichter's possible/probable scenarios in "We'll Be Back") - we are still ( in an age of accelerated change), still decades away from Chicoms/Progressive hegemony.    For example... look at what Nigel Farage is experiencing in the UK vis-a-vis bank accounts- you think this isn't a red flag that will stiffen resistance to "Digital Currency"?
Grow your garden.
Expand it to meet the requirements that were reality two/three hundred years ago.
Do not settle for less than surplus.
If need be, relocate.

Say What? Radiation levels? Hell, one of the first things I did when I started prepping was to buy a Geiger counter, Potassium Iodide pills, and several of those white paper suits. While the government might have sites to tell you what radiation levels are, I wouldn't trust those asshats to tell me if the sun was shining.

You know, with all the bull crap that .gov has been feeding us along with its partner the MSM, they have really done a disservice to themselves. The next BIG DRAMA will be ignored by the majority of the citizens of this good country.
