Canmunition
« on: March 16, 2019, 09:24:36 AM »
Here's a unique long term storage method of 9mm and 5.56 ammo: https://globalordnance.com/worlds-first-canmunition-9mm-115-grain-in-a-90round-beverage-can-upc-850003223001/    It's waterproof and air tight.  I'm thinking it would be good in damp basements or crawl spaces.  I'm not sure how it would perform in a direct burial.

I am going to have to get one of them.  Just to have it.  To sit beside the zombie ammo on the shelf.  Just to have it.

And if I ever need it, well, I got it.

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

God created Man, Col. Sam Colt made him equal, John Moses Browning turned equality to perfection, Gaston Glock turned perfection into plastic fantastic junk.

Sounds like I may need to test one out underground.
Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

Thanks for posting this. I had to get some of these.
They are a standard 12 oz beer/soda can with a printed plastic wrapper encasing the outside. Under the cap is a large pull tab.
In the picture of the can bottom you can see some small denting from the ammo inside, but seems sturdy enough. Does not appear to be something that will take rough abuse, but a great idea for camouflaged / non-obvious ammo storage. The Fiocchi canned heat containers were a good idea too but they appear to be discontinued. These new ones blend in and look like a sports drink or local brewery can.
Gives new meaning to a six pack. Only comes in FMJ at this time.
I do not plan to open one at this time but I have shot enough Fiocchi ammo to know it is quality stuff.

Thanks for the report DMC. Like I said I will order one in short order and bury it for the summer to see how it holds up.

Looks like the 5.56 is available again.
