so im used to the 25m zero that the army uses for the 14.5" m4 barrel yadda yadda yadda..
but i dont too much dig the slight hold overs i would use with the acog out to 300... i know you dont NEED to hold over out to 300 but i did anyway and shot 40s almost constantly... but enough with that.
saw a video Travis Haley did about zero's out too 300m, and the marine method i guess is a 36m BZO that puts you on the 300m zero, i have never tried this method but, it produces a 5'' combat effective zone out to 300m... thats pretty freaking sweet compared to the 24" zone the 25m zero gives you.
couldnt get the damn link to work... AR15 Zeroing At Distance is the video
PS and im back, again, going to try to stick around this time. got out of the army in april now living in vermont, just got my ar and took that pesky bullet button off.
PPS after typing all this out and thinking about it more, im going to stick with the 25m zero as i know it and am very used to it. but still a good topic to think about.
