@JoJo - I'm glad they were peaceful too.
@DeathStyle - the video of the chainsaw guy was pretty dramatic.
just out of curiosity - what was he defending?
it wasn't his person. It wasn't his store. The protesters, in that area, were protesting peacefully.
Um, 1st amendment anyone? is that not worth defending anymore - for everyone? Or does chainsaw guy have the right to decide who gets rights and who doesn't? He didn't go after the rioters, he went after the virtue signaling suburbanites.
Especially lately - i've had a hard time agreeing with some LEOs actions. But arresting the guy wielding a chainsaw in public to stop a peaceful protest i can get behind. As far as rioters getting away with mayhem - the LEOs are simply overwhelmed, IMHO.
Maybe we could get the Korean store owners who defended themselves/their stores/the LAPD during the LA riots to teach classes.
If chainsaw guy had tried that at the VA 2A protests the results might have been different.
I think dirty war is here/has been here - like gerrymandering, welfare fraud, medicare fraud, procurement fraud, money laundering and insider trading, and that's just from our own politicians.
If 'the price of liberty is eternal vigilance' - i think we've been asleep.
Maybe these protests will wake some up. And if we're real lucky, people might actually vote on the merits of a candidate - or at least vote.
either way it goes - keep your powder dry.
