Like I said before, I wouldn't trust my life to them but they are fine for the shooting range.
I find it funny that everyone on the internet bashes polymer TAPCO AK mags, but PMags for the AR are the best thing since sliced bread. They're both made out of polymer and don't have metal feed lips. PMags have thinner feed lips too.
Just wanted to throw that out there.
(DISCLAIMER - this is not an AR vs. AK thread. I have both, shoot both, and love them both equally)
Read my sticky about AK mags. AR mags don't
need metal-lined (or metal) feed lips. They also don't need metal locking lugs. Apples and oranges. When changing mags, AR mags almost always fall on the baseplate whereas AK mags more often land directly on the feed lips.
Also, I think PMags are ass. Haven't used them for years.
Also,
quality polymer AK magazines are superior to steel magazines. They weigh less and they have a much higher elastic limit (the amount of flex it takes before fixed deformation).
