LOL Nemo!!!
When we lived in LA, on our sailboat, we use to sail over to Catalina island and anchor in Cat Harbor.
In the past, many cowboy/western movies were filmed on Catalina Island so, Hollywood imported buffalo onto the island as a back drop to add authenticity to those old movies. Well, the herd grew and there are now two herds now. One herd on the southern and another on the northern part of the island.
One night, we were following a path from a Tiki bar to the dock where our dingy, our ride to our sailboat was patiently bobbing up and down by its painter.
Along the path MrsMac and I came upon a herd sleeping buffalo on the path. Having a few to many adult beverages, I whispered to MrsMac, "Have you ever tipped a cow before?" She replied in a whisper, "no."
I immediately went into action and put all my weight behind a buffalo and low and behold rolled her right over.
Well that action went over as well as a loud gaseous release in church and I grabbed MrsMac's hand and we ran for our lives down the path to the dock all the time listening to buffalo snorts and mooing right behind us.
Jumped in the dingy, fired up the outboard and screamed across the harbor laughing ourselves silly. From then on, it was called the
Cat Harbor Buffalo Affair.
It is truly amazing what young drunk people will do.
