not that it has much to do with the video, but I have been in love with the RTF grip since the moment I first touched it, that's right, love at first grip. (not to be confused with the new Gen4 texture, it's kind of similar except the little "bumps" or "pyramids" or whatever that create the texture are much smaller on the RTF, almost like a plastic sandpaper. it's friggin great IMO)

If your grip is that weak you all might want to consider a more appropriate caliber and size. I have an old first gen 20 that's so worn the plastic is starting to resemble blued steel, hot, cold, wet or muddy no problems.

that stippling job is pretty badass compared to most. you made that shit look like wood grain or something. really nice. as stated earlier in the thread, I'm quite satisfied with Glock's RTF grip texture but if I had an earlier generation Glock then I'd probably be pulling out the soldering iron right about now.

Thank you. I was going for a wood grain style look/feel to it but originally was only going to do the side panels where it is raised. Liked it so much I just did the whole thing lol. I tested out the technique on my SOG fasthawk first too so I knew what I was doing with it. And its smooth too, shot hundreds of rounds thru it bare handed and no problem one bit. Just hit it with some high grain sandpaper afterwards. Only took a couple of hours but thats mostly cause it was my first time with that technique so I was experimenting with it lol.

I can't say I get it either way. I've never held a pistol that was too slick nor too rough.

Doesn't much matter if its polished wood or grip tape.

That said I like to be able to get a handle on something that I am counting on to save my life, to that end I have a glock that is all grip tape.

Mntn, Not that I wasnt able to hold onto my Glock but with the old smother grip the limited texture on it did not improve my confidence in it if say my hands were covered in blood, oil or something similar. Doing the stipple job was to add a bit of texture but ALSO to add to the uniqueness of MY Glock and give it that second kind of cool. That and you all should know that I get an idea to mod shit in my head and I gotta try it out. This one was a win in my book lol.
