MrsMac and I just watched it. She really enjoyed the documentary, as did I.

Ken, I didn't find it depressing because these people are doing what they want. They are living by no mans leave.

Now with that said, I am sure the local police are not happy that they are there because these folks may live differently; dangerously by many peoples standards and "the man" does not like folks who don't conform.

Anyhow TG...Thx for sharing.

I just found the major mental problems of nearly every one of them, the 17 yr old crack head girl who is pregnant and totally fucked in the head, their major dependence on drugs and total dependence on others to feed them minus their greenhouse with no water producing weeds to be depressing. As far as im concerned that was a bunch of homeless people. They do the exact same thing here in town but their homes dont last forever because eventually the land owners come run them out. I watched a documentary on skid row a while back. This video reminded me of that documentary.

If THAT is the last little piece of America..... I give up.

Yeah I hear ya' Ken.

There are people like that in every community. Some you see and some you don't.

Up at the BOL, on the mountain there are several folks like you saw on the documentary. For the most part they are friendly, happy and helpful folks - Honest to a fault. I use to judge them because I looked at them through my eyes. e.g. wants, needs, haves, accomplishments, etc. I no longer do.

I haven't finished watching yet but I agree with Ken, these people are wildly dependent upon subsidies and handouts. They talk mountains of shit about freedom and how they long to be separated from the system until that check doesn't come!

I was wondering how they got money. That was never covered in the documentary.
