If you are like me you love the smell of your gun jelly. So what is your preffered odour?
Personally, I'm partial to some fresh maple syrupy CLP.

Interesting question...
Well Hoppes # 9 brings back memories of years past. :)) If someone cracks a bottle - There I go back to when my grandfather was alive.

Since RAH hasnt been around a ton I will say it Shambutter.

Is this a trick question?
We all know that there is only one lube that doesn't smell like petroleum death, is actually edible, and is akin to something that could be found in Willy Wonka's factory.

The only good oil smell is a burning oil smell.

Just the otherday I was refreshing my tumbling media and that Berry's Polish really does smell good.

I do like the way CLP smells, I also love the smell of fresh shot gun powder as well. They should make that into a cologne. LOL

I like the smell of fresh shotgun spent powder also, always have. Short story: When I was 16 (many moons ago), I was waiting for my buddy Ron to come over to my place to go squirrel hunting. He didn't show, so after a while, I got tired of waiting, grabbed my shotgun, and headed into the woods. There was an inch or so of snow on the ground, and I was walking along a ridge when I spotted a squirrel up in a tree. I shot it out of the tree and went down over the ridge a little way to retrieve it from where it had fallen. I was gutting it when I heard some noise. Ron had showed up and Mom told him I was in the woods. He followed my tracks and when I heard the noise, I looked up over the bank to see Ron sniffing my spent shotgun shell to determine how long ago I had shot. He didn't know I was watching him until I started chuckling. Ron's always been like a brother to me. We've been through everything together. Man, we could tell some stories. Well, anyway, about 5 years ago, Ron got sick and up and passed away. He was 49. Now, a lot of times, when I smell the spent shotgun shell, I can vividly see Ron on that ridge..........Till we can hunt squirrels again Ron, keep knocking 'em down!
