Alot of old timers in my AO do that in their garden every year seems to work good for them.

Very kewl idea. the space management factor also allows for more crops per square foot. I hope i don't get stoned by the angry villagers for interplanting crops in the same field though. JK  :P

Yeah, I came across this a couple of years ago.  It's a really good idea.  I've got this notebooked in my binder of things to not forget.
