Good series you have been posting DM,  :bravo:

On another note: Back in the day alcohol and kerosene stoves were common on pleasure boats. Then there was a steady move towards propane.

Here is a good article by the company I use to work for on marine stoves - Alcohol and kerosene included.

Thanks for the reminder.  I have an old camp stove around here that ran on "White Gas".  I am going to have to dig that thing out and see whats cooking with it.

My Coleman Sportster II Dual Fuel 1-Burner Stove (unleaded OR white gas) is a real workhorse.
Unleaded (petrol for you Brits) is the cheapest and most readily available fuel besides wood.

I have a two burner white gas (Coleman fluid) that we used in the beginning at the bunkhouse. Worked well but eventually changed to to a propane three burner stove top.

The yard/garage sale season is starting and I will keep my eyes open for a kerosene version of the Coleman two burner stove top.

In a SHTF scenario, there will be kerosene and not much gas after white gas after a few months.
