As much as I loathe natGeo's "Doomsday Preppers" and "Doomsday Castle", found this author about having a garden that blends in with the rest of the natural fauna, produces more food, and it almost upkeep-free. Anyone have any experience with such an idea? The link to the book is below to see what I'm talking about.*

Neat - I'll have to check that out. I do know that a lot of the guerrilla gardening movement has their food plants mixed in with other people's plantings, corporate and public land, etc. Of course, when you don't plant on your own land you lose control over what kind of pesticides, etc. are used on it and can never guarantee that it will be there later. Edible landscaping is also a really great thing that lets you have food and pretty plants - like planting a real pear tree instead of a Bartlett, etc.

I just tuned into a episode of DoomsDay Castle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjO6URpFC7M#ws)
:trolling:
These folks couldn't build their way out of a wet paper sack. They keep calling it a castle but it's made from CMU and they only grouted every 4'.. what a joke.
