Title: Best Dehydrated Food?
Post by: Grudgie on September 13, 2012, 05:20:22 AM
I'm looking for some dehydrated food to store, a few year's worth that is, and I'm going to try and eat nothing but that for a month or so. Does anybody have any experience with the different companies who manufacture it? An hour drive away I can get the Mountian Homes brand but it seems a little pricy. The internet seems to have better prices and free shipping. Anybody ever try any of the differnt brands out there?

I found a great site that is jammed pack full of info about food storage with links to different companies that sell the food with descriptions.

Wow they have a sale on a years supply of dehydrated food 2372 calories a day for $625 free shipping. I'll have to look into this tommorow after I sleep.

Grudgie, good find and reasonably priced.

Another suggestion you could get the same items for about half the price if you buy them in bulk from your local LDS canary. Here is a list of canary's in the US. http://providentliving.org/self-reliance/food-storage/home-storage-center-locations?lang=eng (http://providentliving.org/self-reliance/food-storage/home-storage-center-locations?lang=eng)

Good luck and have fun.

For fancy stuff like fruit you should look at Thrive! they got great fruit.

But.. for a year supply you could rotate canned goods instead of dried goods.

I concur. Me and thatguy where talking about this not to long ago and both of us use it and swear by it. Its a great company and the food is top notch. You can set a monthly allowance and they just show up at your door.
