WinLink
I have been playing with Winlink another great digital way of communicating.
WinLink allows three ways of communicating,
> Using the internet,
> Using HF, post onto a server, a message for a specific station, to be retrieved at a later time by the receiving HF
station and
> Radio to radio, also known as P2P (Person to person). A message can be sent directly to another station which
can be stored on the receiving station/computer to read at a later date.
A OTP or Brevity code can be used in all three uses of WinLink.
Here is a very well done YT video explaining WinLink. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGhUfW8pjY8&t=7s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGhUfW8pjY8&t=7s)
If you would like to play, let's use this post/thread to discuss further.

Just keep in mind ALL winlink messages are viewable by those with a winlink account. Legally, you cannot use OTP or any other means to encrypt the message.
That being said, I'm available to play around with winlink. For those that tune into the nets, you have my call sign :)

I'm going to delve into it a little deeper this afternoon, and I'll be getting the high-speed license too. I'd love to have something set up amongst us all, but especially to communicate locally/regionally out of normal VHF/UHF voice range. Would also like to try Winlink on VHF.
