I have been struggling with getting ready for my Technician exam. I called the local Ham Radio Club President asking if they offered classes. Nope!.
There are some on-line classes but they cost money I do not have at the moment. Well to make a long story shorter I found this class on youtube.
It is 6 hours long however it is broken up by chapter via the ARRL text book.
Now there is NO EXCUSE. Get your ticket.

Come to Atlanta for a weekend. Take one of the local Ham Cram course and get licensed on one day. Make it a weekend or long weekend and slip out to Tara and play tourist for a while. Do it before June when it gets hot. Otherwise you might melt in the Georgia summer.

Nemo, as stated earlier I don't have the money for an on-line course. What makes you think I can afford a long weekend in ATL? :troutSlap:

Actually I've still got a great excuse. I'm not interested in getting a government permit to operate a HAM radio. What if I watch the provided video and not get my permit? HAMs lose sleep at night over things like that. I'll know how to do stuff and won't be licensed AAHHH!

Keeping the wife happy. Sell blood if you need to. The cram courses here are generally pretty darn cheap too.
