Title: TAPRN net
Post by: pkveazey on September 15, 2019, 07:26:13 PM
Well, here it is about an hour and a half before the TAPRN preppers net. I'm going to do my best to tune in to 3.818 at 9 pm. On another note, I had one of my triband Chinese radios go bad. It still works perfectly but it now only transmits one watt. I have a spare one all wrapped up in aluminum foil in my prepped supplies but I refuse to use it because the 25 watt tribands are no longer available. I replaced it with an 8 watt dual band HT.

How was the Taprn net?

UP and ERIN will be having a net this coming Sunday. Looks like 40-meters at 1700 hrs and or 80-meters at 2200 hrs. More to come.

I'm confused??????? I answered this but it never showed up. OK, here it is again. Abb was sick and couldn't do the TAPRN net and last week the hurricane caused so much lightning in SC that he couldn't do the net. Maybe next Sunday it'll be a go.

9/29/2019: TAPRN net sucked tonight. Abb was sick again and got Gary to do it for him. Not that Gary sucked, but the band was awful. It was hard to hear anybody except Gary. No static crashes but lots of noise and incoming signals were weak. Maybe it'll be better next week.
