I am going to be on the air tonight ~2000 hrs calling CQ at 3.962 Mhz.
If anybody is around and want to jump in, COOL.
-
I'll plan on being there. Another beautiful day here, sunny and 85.
-
I've got a couple of gentlemen that are semi-local and they're completely covering you up now.
-
i tried to monitor using a scanner - didn't get anything recognizable.

@ Jackalope. Yeah I was getting stepped on. Went top 3.968 and there was clean air. Spoke to one gentleman in Virginia. My computer was not in the shack so I couldn't announce the change in Freq. Thanks for playing.
@ Kbop, Were you using a transceiver or just a receiver like the CC Skywave (https://www.ccrane.com/item/rad_ccradio_skywssb/100112/cc_skywave_ssb_am_fm_shortwave_weather_vhf_aviation_and_ssb_bands_portable_travel_radio?search=Y) with the SSB feature?
We are using SSB to TX and RX. If you do not have that feature you will only be able to listen to half the exchange.
Last, what type of antenna are you using for either your transceiver or receiver radio. In theory, you should be able to RX with no issues as you are in direct line of TN. to NE PA.
-
I was using a wideband SDR.

Kbop, sorry you couldn't RX us. However, thx for trying.
