OK, I just left the net as the T-Storm (s) have arrived at our AO. Thunder all around us and two visual sightings of tornadoes ~60-miles southwest of our AO. NOAA will be down from Binghamton, NY tomorrow to see if it was really a tornado and if it was, give it a "F-Scale" rating. LOL. My 2-meter radio has been very active with WX reports from NOAA. SKYWARN nor RACES has not been activated.
It seems that this kind of crappy weather happens each monthly ERIN/UP net. Oh well, lets keep trying because Murphy will not always give us nice propagation and weather...Right?
Quick AAR...
We had three verifiable check-ins tonight. Several folks heard the net but do to what ever reason, (Propagation, weather, etc) could RX but not TX south of the MD Line. The bummer was that I spoke to a half dozen region '4' and '8' folks between 1900 to 2030 hrs last night. I was able to raise a '5' and '9' region BUT we kept loosing each other in the weeds (noise).
As I wrote earlier, on this subject line, my neighbors, MrsMac, and the rest of the menagerie are hunkered down waiting to see what the good Lord will send our way. Right now just some lightening and gusty winds. MrsMac just lit one of our Aladdin lamps "in case." I reminded her that we have flash lights
Matches and kerosene cost money you know. I was rewarded by a middle finger being presented in my direction.
Quick funny story: Our Dutch Shepherd, DXXXXX, AKA W3OOF, must have know something was coming. A little over an hour ago she started taking her toys into her night time crate which is housed in our bedroom. MrsMac stopped her when she took our TV remote on one of her journey's to the B-room. That girl knows what is important.
Thanks to all that participated in this evening's ERIN/UnchainedPreppers net. Even though you may not have been heard when you TX'd you RX'd the net and that is half of the equation.
73 and God Bless....
