Here is a quick AAR for today's net:
We had five folks check in. The best two stations were south of the MD line. One was in the Philly area, one in the Wilkes Barre area, and one was in NE NY state. These three I could not hear as they spent most of the time in the noise. :(
I do believe that the NE NY station could hear all of the stations but me - LOL...
Do not hesitate writing up a short AAR.
Thanks for playing.

I gave a few calls, no luck. I've dropped down to 3.962.
-
I went to 3.962 and I heard ya' at a 5/7,5/8 but then you dropped out. I hope all is OK. :o
-
Yeah, you were coming in great, and suddenly there was nothing. Very strange band conditions, I guess we should expect it at the bottom of the solar cycle.
-
I was glad to be able to successfully test my newly built NVIS 40 & 80 meter antenna! I am pleased at its operation. I could hear KB4XXX pretty good. I heard KC1XXX among the noise and most important, I could copy his traffic. I consider it a successful 2 way conversation and that is what I was looking for. Looking forward to more.

Wait, drop a dime? Is that gangster talk?
Dayum, you must be a kid. Remember when pay phones (you remember those don't ya?) were out on street corners in the glass boxes with folding doors? Not just from being told about them right? Way Way back when it cost a dime to make a local call?
Back then "dropping a dime" meant to rat someone out with an anonymous call to the cops/parents/principle about something that person did.
Dayum, send me your address and I'll send you a nice dry towel.
