March 30, 2020 ERIN Net Report
« on: March 30, 2020, 07:27:48 PM »
We are now about 25-days into doing the ERIN daily net. Now that we have the net down pat I will post a ERIN NET REPORT most evenings here.

There are two nets, a 40-meter report and a 80- meter report. To get the PACE to join either net go here.

40-meters 1800 hrs eastern report
- Florida pretty much status quo
- NC Stay at Home Mandatory order now. No reported fines or other if you break that order
- VA Stay at Home Mandatory order now. No reported fines or other if you break that order

80-meters 1830 hrs eastern report
- NE PA 4,087 confirmed cases. ~2,500 cases are located in the five counties surrounding Philadelphia and of course Philly. Allegheny county (Pittsburgh) reports 290 cases. Lehigh, Monroe and Northampton counties (Allentown) made up ~500 cases. Total deaths in the state are 48. So we are holding at ~1.3% death rate. My county has only one confirmed case. My neighbor has a head cold however she does not meet the level to test her because of tests available.

- NW NY reported that cases are springing up 1 or two at a time surrounding the counties near Watertown, NY. There is a report that NY Gov Cumo is going to start trucking infected folks to other parts of the state that are less affected by the Kung Fu Virus.

I traveled to Binghamton NY to have a blood test done. Not an issue just a A1C test which is done semiannually. I could have shinned it but my journalistic side took over. The closest location to go is about 45-minites from my AO and is a major metropolitan hospital. The usual bustling hospital was shut down. I was directed to a parking lot then with the help of Jersey dividers directed to the main lobby to be met by 3, mask and gloved clerks and one hospital security guard. They wanted to know if I had an appointment, my name and address and birth date, I was given a pass and directed down a different path, lined with collapsible tables so I didn't stray on my way to the lab.

Once there I had to answer a bunch of questions from a mask and glove clad clerk concerning my health. Once satisfied, and a script found on the computer for my lab work I was told to sit in the reception area. About 3-minutes later I was called back to the same front desk clerk who asked me a whole shiton of questions on health, insurance, etc. She tried to scan my drivers license which I objected to and when she started to argue with me, I told her I was in the witness protection program and she would have to answer to the US Marshal who was assigned to me. She backed down after that little exchange.  >:D

Had my blood drawn with a few minor issues which I will not go into here other than to write, the "B" team was on this morning.

Driving home, I was on a major interstate highway going south surrounded by a shiton of trucks (You gota love those guys and gals out there still trucking), a few other vehicles like mine, and a bunch of RV trailers heading south with a combination of NY and NJ plates. Who knows where those out-of-staters were going. I do not want to assume anything but it seemed like folks are fleeing their states for better digs,

That's it brothers and sisters till tomorrow.

73 & God Bless

Interesting report Johny, especially about the RV's and trailers heading south.

Yeah...One RV had a sign on it that read Tennessee Or Bust;)  :lmfao:

On another note, it must be a relief for you and the XYL to not be a resident of NY anymore.

Yes, but there are some preps up there that I'd love to have right now.  Oh well, we go to war with what we have.  If our national situation improves this summer, I'll get up there.  Interestingly, the amount of viral infection at my old AO and my current AO are about the same, so I guess we chose wisely.

OK, I keep getting confused about the new day and time. I'm thinking its 7 PM EDT on 7.230 and then 7:30PM EDT on 3.970. I missed several nets because I was doing other things and forgot all about it until it was too late. Anyway its 6:35 and I'm tuned up on 40 meters and will listen for net activity at 7 PM.

Well, I listened to both frequencies and just heard regular crap. I'll listen again at 8 and 8:30 and see what happens.

It should be at 20:00 ET, around 7.238 MHz.
