Help A Ham Out
« on: April 06, 2022, 08:46:07 AM »
Patriotman's Icom IC-735 is on the fritz and ICOM does not make repairs of pre-2010 transceivers. Does anybody know of a off brand repair facility that they can share with him?

Specifically, the radio receives great however, TXing the radio is hit or miss. Sometimes I can catch glimpses of a TX but not consistent.

I am posting this here as others may have a pre-2010 Icom radio and want to repair it.

Thanks

There is a fellow in Annapolis Md. who repairs ICOMS. He is pretty expensive though. I was going to send my other 7300 to him but he wanted $700 to replace the Master circuit board. I just said screw that and bought a new 7300.

I'll ask the radio guru's and post the response.
