International Space Station SSTV Images
« on: December 28, 2019, 08:27:50 AM »
Folks,
I invite all of you to connect with the International Space Station (ISS) starting today December 28th at 1100-hrs Zulu and running through January 1st. To do this use SSTV image software once you tune to 145.800 Mhz.

Go here for more information and go here for tracking information.

I did played last year using this software and had a blast downloading the images automatically. Set my radio to the proper frequency, turned on my modem which is connected to my shack computer and received images automatically.

You do not need a ham license to RX the images but you will need a 2-meter radio, a computer with the software and a microphone so the computer can hear the clicks and beeps of the broadcast (think Fax Machine). Me, I use  a digital capable 2-meter radio linked to a modem like a Signalink. Then another cable to my laptop from the modem. VIOLA! I gotz pictures sent from space.

Pretty cool.

Have fun...
