Title: ICOIM REBATE

I just registered my new IC 7300 for Warrantee by phone. Then I was forced to go online to get the REBATE. It took over an hour to find and fill out the form. I had to take pictures of the receipt and UPC number and send them as attachments to the form. They make it such a pain in the ass that I honestly think they do it that way so most people will just say, "Screw it, its not worth the effort." They've screwed me out of every rebate on every Icom I've ever bought in the past. Well, not this time. :chuky:

Hope  you were real careful.  You could have photoed the UPC sideways and get it rejected.  Of course you will be notified of the error a day after the deadline for rebate filing.

Hope all goes well but I have been the on the wrong end of  :chuky:  a rebate time or 2 in the past.

I liked it a lot better when HRO did the instant rebate and took it off the price when you bought it.

IN the marketing world when folks do not send in a rebate or screw up a sent in rebate it is called BREAKAGE.

Companies budget about 35% successful rebate payouts.

I worked for a company that purposely dragged their feet on paying rebates out.
