The ERIN nets were a special treat last night because we and several surrounding counties had no internet.  Evidently the outage impacted parts of Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.  The radio scanner was a good point of news and information as dispatch informed county resources about the outage here and in 'all surrounding counties'. 

Radio is such an amazing hobby and tool.

Yep. The ERIN net was fine copy from everyone. One has to wonder, Hmmmm..... Is this regional outage, some kind of test from Big Brother? :what: I have no doubt at all that there will be many areas that will lose Internet, Sat and Cable TV, Electric Power, etc. in the near future. My Radios, Generator/Solar Power, Bullet Throwers, etc. have always been expensive paper weights until I need them and then they are worth their weight in gold. :dance:
