According to The National Association for Amateur Radio (ARRL), elements of the US Department of Defense (DOD) will simulate a “communications interoperability” training exercise across the United States on November 04-06. The announcement released on October 24 has not been widely distributed to the media, because the drill is simulating a total grid collapse and could spark public fear.

Explained by Army MARS Program Manager Paul English,

    “This exercise will begin with a national massive coronal mass ejection event which will impact the national power grid as well as all forms of traditional communication, including landline telephone, cellphone, satellite, and Internet connectivity,”

Is he saying the govt is have this "drill" but in reality they are prepping for the NK's to launch an EMP? That way if the EMP happens we will consider ourselves lucky that they were doing the drill at the exact same time?

 The way I understand it is antifa is going to have a weekend of rage destroying property and shooting police. If the drill is for real it would keep antifa off of social media. Also showing NK we're ready for them.
 I noticed that the report didn't say if it will be country wide at the same time or a rolling blackout.

Well, that didn't go as many expected. I had no expectations that the Government was going to actually shut down any part of the electrical grid. I was surprised that anybody thought that. I did listen to 5.3305 Mhz and checked in on Saturday and again on Sunday. The biggest surprise I got was when Checking in, they wanted my zip code. ZIP CODE?? They wanted to contact at least one Ham in every county in the US. A Zip Code doesn't identify what county you're in. My Zip code is for a post office that 2 counties away. Its only 4 miles but I have to leave my county, cross part of another county, and then Cross some RR Tracks in another county to get to the post office. Government logic defies reason. They should have ask for our full Grid Square info. That would get them to about 100 Feet from the house. At least on Sunday, the guy was asking for what county we were in. Hmmmmmm.... Maybe they learned something from Saturday's Zip Code nonsense.
