Title: Training injured
Post by: gapatriot on June 18, 2012, 10:47:57 PM
Ok boys I fucked up my right arm at work today, like can barely move it I tore something bad or dislocated something. So i got this bright idea to do some reload drills, bad idea but i learned something from it! If one arm goes down rifle is totally out of the question. So get if you hurt something bad get out and try to do some training, real life aint a movie. Youre not going to take a round and keep rocking.

the best training you can do to simulate incapacitation is sleep deprivation.

Stress, fatigue, and mental stress and get pretty high staying awake for 36 hours and doing some training.

And yeah as you found out don't train injured. You don't want your problem to get worse.

Real pain (not muscle fatigue) in humans is news that something ain't right.  Push it and you'll more than likely end up with less capacity and flexibility once it does heal.  Plus those injuries will come back and haunt you later in life.  I spend a good half hour nowadays with ice on the knees after a good run.
