That's good news, if it's true.

It appears intitial asymptomatic spread was accurate.   CNN link cited is below also.

Coronavirus can be spread through people who aren’t exhibiting symptoms of the illness, the director of the Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention said Thursday.

Dr. Robert Redfield confirmed reports out of China that the virus can spread when the person is still asymptomatic, according to CNN.

“There’s been good communication with our colleagues to confirm asymptomatic infection, to confirm asymptomatic transmission, to be able to get a better handle on the clinical spectrum of illness in China,” Redfield told the outlet.

Redfield said it’s not known how much the asymptomatic cases are contributing to the spread of the virus — which has sickened more than 60,000 people worldwide — but the discovery is concerning.

“What I’ve learned in the last two weeks is that the spectrum of this illness is much broader than was originally presented. There’s much more asymptomatic illness,” he said.

He added that a number of confirmed cases presented with just a “little sore throat.”

His comments come as the agency confirmed the 15th case of the coronavirus in the US.

They are not calling the Corona virus a form of influenza. However, this is something I read several years ago concerning the flu. When you have the flu, you don't show any symptoms. When your body recognizes that something is wrong it starts to fight the disease and that's when the symptoms show up. You know, the puking, the chills, the fevers, the body aches and pains, the weakness, etc. blah, blah, blah. Well its too late for your friends because you probably passed it along to them before your symptoms became bad. It appears that this virus is acting the same way as the flu virus. I suggest you carry hand sanitizer at all times and use it anytime you touch anything. If it gets bad here in the US, I also suggest the higher quality face masks.

The original study was wrong.. but more and more indication of spread via mild symptoms now abound.

I'm not sure about the mild symptoms, especially with the infection and serious health consequences of the patients in Iran.  It seems that there are multiple strains of the virus, with some strains being much more lethal.  Remember how the Spanish flu mutated, and the later waves of the virus were more lethal.  In no way should folks let their guards down until we know more about the virus.

I was very disappointed with Trump's press conference last evening, where he inferred that this virus is essentially just another version of the flu.  Governments don't quarantine large population centers just for the "flu".  The American populace is not prepared for what may be coming.  Too many years of easy living may be smashed by a harsh reality, if this spreads.  Buy your pallets of food, water and ammo now!

Article on Fox about a Japanese woman who caught it, treated, cured and released.   Then diagnosed with it again some time later.

Another article on it in China.

Starting to get very concerning.

Look at it this way; If he said it any other way he would have caused great panic. And you know the radical left were just praying oops sorry wishing that he did just that. :stir:

I think he could have downplayed it while also explaining that this is a great time for people to become more prepared and resilient.
Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
