I completed my test and to my ever-loving shock, I did 9 push-ups.  I do have to do the bent knees push-ups, but I'll take it! :D

Today I did my test and I got 27, the page suggested me to start in week 3.
Let's see how it works, I have to do 4 sets of 14 and a last one until failure, it will be interesting

Age 47, 225# 6'-3" and out of shape.

20 well formed push-ups was max. So I will be starting at day 1 :)

Challenged the wife to join me too.  She's gonna have to do alternates but the payoff will be worth it no matter what.

I suppose everyone is going to post their dailies in this thread?

Awesome you guys!  I'm terribly jealous - I know I'm starting out WAY behind you two.  But I'll get there.  Thanks for joining in.  It's great having that motivation of partners-in-crime.  Mr. WPW says he did enough push-ups when he was in the Army.  They're not his cuppa anymore. :)

word of advise... take a day off between your initial test and the first day.  I didn't and suffered for it.  I wanted to do mine on TUE/THU/SUN so I doubled back today and came up short. :(

@vodka,
did you not get far because it was too hard or didn't stick with it?

Here is my pushup logger link

http://pushupslogger.com/plog/show_user/227635 (http://pushupslogger.com/plog/show_user/227635)

Tomorrow morning I start with mine, I'll try week 3 as suggested and see how it goes.

After the tests my pectoral muscles feel tired, I think a resting day in the middle was a right choice :D

EDIT: I'm 5.9, 178 lb

@vodka,
did you not get far because it was too hard or didn't stick with it?
It interfered with my regular workout and i was lazy.

Today I started with the week 3, 3rd column.
In the last set it was supposed I needed to do more than 20 push ups, but I only managed to do 12.
I'll move to 2nd column to see how it goes.

I strongly suggest you to stretch after the push ups

Well I did 17 pushups. I'm 6'1" 250lbs as a referance. I've been able to do as many as 35 in the past after a couple weeks of practice so I'm optimistic. Ill start week 1 column 3 tomorrow since I did the test yesterday.

I'm doing it.
I started in week 5 greater than 40 collum. Im going to have to stay on day one for a while. When i was getting in position for set 4 i almost face planted due to how tired my arms were. I could only do 30 for the last set.

I'm 5'11 165 pounds

Welcome v0dka and Kentactic!

Just did mine and I started on day 1, column 2. I did a total of 30 push ups total, the 6/6/4/4 and then 10 in the "do 5 or more" section.  Not a bad first start! (Of course, everything's relative. :D)

Finally got through a day, but had to move down a level to column 2 this week.  If you are not keeping a log at http://www.pushupslogger.com/ (http://www.pushupslogger.com/) I encourage you to do so.  It helps hold me accountable and APX as he listed his and I will continue to check on it for him because "misery loves company!"  LOL

I completely forgot to post!  I've been keeping up with my reps, barely.  I'll post tonight's here. :)  Thanks for the reminder - this is why I can't do it on my own.

Hey guys, sorry I'll quit the program.
Today I started training Crossfit at a local box, and I'm wasted, I dunno I can do a pushup without a faceplant.

Nice surprice was when I discovered that the creator of Crossfit is a libertarian.

CrossFit Founder Greg Glassman: "I'm a rabid libertarian" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EB0XyBUl0U#ws)
