First Aid Training

We have been renewing our first aid skills as of late. From the simple stuff all the way up to lifesaving skills.

At least here where we live. The medical system got stained during the first wave. This impacted the response ability of our first responders. So that made being able to manage emergencies even more important than usual.

Probably a good idea for everyone to check their medical supplies and train up a bit.

We took our medical prepping to a bit of an excessive level. Yet that is how we roll.

So here is the rundown. We have stocked and organised everything in levels.

1. A personal IFAK for each person plus the same number in reserve.
2. We set up 4 trauma bags to administer to small groups.
3. We created two sets for setting up i guess a small clinic. One set ready in our spare room and one set packed ready to be grabbed for off the property.
4. We set up 5 shoulder bags that have different bandages in them for use by untrained volunteers on a scene if required.
5. Then we have packed away enough to provide some refills for all the rest if needed.

Now it is indeed over the top. So let me explain our thoughts.

First off. We have everything we need to take care of our family and friends. To the level of knowledge and experience we possess. Now we also have supplied to a level above our knowledge and ability. The only thing that is missing in the medical professional.

However if we can find one or if there are ones around. They will not be hampered by lack of supplies. We can fulfill that to a degree.

In the equation mine and my own win across the board. Now if needed and we decide so. Those around us win without them ever being aware of it.

The investment was time shopping smartly and less than a good pistol and a good Rifle. Since those are not one the table here in the UK. The funds bought a good investment.

Hope the info helps anyone.
