We're in the process of installing fencing and gates in the front half of our property. If there is a viral outbreak, the gates will be closed and locked. There will be signage warning folks to stay away. Friends and family who wish to enter will need to quarantine for a couple of weeks, otherwise all conversations will be remote. The quarantine area will likely be wall tents in a remote portion of the property, not fun during the winter.
There are military NBC manuals which go into detail regarding their procedures. For us, we'll keep it simple, quarantine, and anything coming in will be getting sprayed with a bleach solution.

Interesting... I had thought about tents and quarantine as well. Already fenced - easily cut or crossed but signage would delineate consequences for that if caught in time.
Have a mere two gallons of bleach at present - think I'll add that to shopping list - the stuff has a shelf life.
But I do have some small tents/sleeping bags, etc that could be used for quarantine - the "what ifs" should someone actually begin presenting with a nasty bug.... dear God.
