Colloidal Silver
« on: October 15, 2014, 05:32:45 PM »
The term "colloidal silver" (CS) is a broad term that describes silver and/or silver salts dissolved/suspended in water.  Superior forms of CS are called names like "nano-", "micro-" , "ionic" , "angstrom" , or "naked" silver and all mean virtually the same thing... A clear solution in which no salts are present containing a quite low 10+/- ppm of the smallest silver particles possible which has specific advantages over larger particle solutions.

Any vendor selling much higher ppm CS and claiming that it is superior is either ignorant or intentionally lying.  Higher ppm is not better for most internal uses.  Due to the laws of physics... as the ppm increases, the particles size increases (according to something called "electrical conductive bridging agglomeration".)  Smaller particles can get to places (where viruses hide) that larger particles can't... including within cells and past the blood-brain barrier.  Smaller particles will also exit the body more thoroughly, therefore not getting trapped in organs such as the skin which can cause argyria (remember the "blue man"?)  The sweet spot for nanosilver is around 10 ppm.

Production of this nano silver requires a regulated low current (?mA) at around 18vdc, a mechanism to agitate the distilled water, and more time to make than cruder forms of CS.  So unless you have the know-how and time to design the above described circuit/device... I suggest you buy one from a reputable manufacturer and follow their instructions.

I use this generator:   http://www.thesilveredge.com/gen.shtml

The manufacturer's YT channel has instructional videos of all sorts:  https://www.youtube.com/user/stevebarwick/videos

I also use this same generator to make "crude" CS consisting mostly of medium and large sized particles and likely some silver salts altogether making it slightly cloudy... the cloudier, the higher the ppm.  I make the crude form only for use as an external antiseptic/hand sanitizer/surface disinfectant.  The differences in production is the use of tap water (I use filtered) instead of distilled water & it takes much less time to produce than nanosilver.

Technically crude CS can be made with 1-3, 9 volt batteries in series, connected to 2 pieces of silver wire via alligator-clip jumpers... one to the "-" & one to the "+"...with silver wires submerged in a jar of water.  There are endless videos demonstrating this on YT.

I don't have any specific reference links at hand, but to the best of my recollection from reading over the years...  Silver has proven to either kill or sterilize (stops reproduction of) all infectious pathogens that come in contact with it in vitro (lab/test tube.)

Why is there a lot of negativity about colloidal silver I wonder? Some people claim it is voodoo whitchcraft and others swear by it.

The average person thinks to themselves, "If CS is so wonderful, why aren't doctors using it left & right?" Thing is, the average person is hopelessly ignorant about the way the Medical Industrial Complex works.  An un-patentable substance that performs better than their patented® substances would pose a huge financial threat to the pharmaceutical industry.  Most of the negativity you see is the result of many years of a sneaky, well funded dis-info campaign.  Also, there are a few who didn't see results after using an inferior form of CS or poor dosing or their symptoms were not infection related in the first place, then they subsequently poo poo the idea of silver based medicine... their loss really.

EXACTLY what SK said. They can't make money and like many truths, they bury it or launch a campaign to discredit. Sorta like the economy is great, jobs are up, healthcare is great..... anyone who disagrees, regardless of facts, is the enemy. CS interferes with their robbery.

I use CS during flu season, no shots for me. I used it just two weeks ago for an infection in my thumb from a old tack that attacked me for no reason while innocently rummaging thru a drawer. Thumb swole up by next day, started CS and swabbed with CS and within two days, all healed, no soreness, no problem. YMMV.

Sk, would you buy that model again knowing what you know now? I'm looking to buy a generator but haven't a clue. I did see a video on anamericanhomestead.com linking to 2 studies showing it stop HIV in its tracks.

Short answer is "Yes."

Of course there are new manufacturers/models since I bought mine that I have no experience with.  I'd go with what I know works... unless I had money to risk.  I always wanted to try the Silver Lungs generator, but it seems a little overpriced due to the built in magnetic stirrer.
