Hey Reaver great news man, good luck with the surgery :D

I got Lasik 2 years ago and I fucking love it, I feel like I was born again, my eyesight is 10/10 now, there is nothing worse that not seeing shit 2 meters away from your face.

The only drawback is that I got dry eyes for a few months after the surgery, but after some time it goes away.

They use to do Lasik surgery with a scalpel. Now they use lasers I think. Good luck.

They cut your eye with a special tool to create the flap, a scalpel is used to insert intra-ocular lenses, but that's not lasik.

Yup.they give a drug. Let you chill for about 10 mikes. Lay you down hold your eye open with a dealio thing. Make a flap laser and align then close the flap. 20/20 again. They said ill have a good chance of seeing 20/15 or whatever it is that's next best to 20/20 I'm pretty stoked.

Hopefuly by the time my eyes stabilize the procedure they just shoot a lazer into you eye to reset everything will be common.
I can't see myself letting someone cut apart my eye.

They gave me valium when i got my wisdom teeth removed. unfortunately i have a very high tolerance to drugs for some reason. It barely did anything except make me miserable about the whole experience.

I still rather just get a lazer shot into my eye real quick and have my vision reset.

So jealous! I want Lasik, but I've heard horror stories about losing your night vision.  Now that it's so far after you did the surgery are you still loving it?

My prepping vision backup has been to keep my old glasses every time I get new ones, so I have one pair in my BoB, on in my car, one in the closet, etc.

I got lasik like 3 years ago and I really like it, my night vision works as always.
My eyes got a little sensitive to sun light, and bright lights in the dark have like a gloom, but I choose lasik over short sight any day of the week.

Anybody who has the courage to get Lasik - My hat is off to them! To be quite frank I just do not have the guts. :hiding:

With that said, I went to the eye doctor a year ago and she determined that my eyes are getting better. She said it was normal for a person with a astigmatism. Maybe by the time I am 100 I will be 20/20  :lmfao:

Hey Wellie, if you wanna stock up on a few more pairs of glasses for cheap then I suggest you check out Zenni Optical.

They offer prescription glasses that can be pretty cheap.
