Round Two - Will We Be Required To Wear A Mask Again
« on: August 21, 2023, 10:39:15 AM »
I have been receiving bits and pieces of news that with the Covid-19 EG.5 variant arriving just in time for winter, mandatory masks will make a return. An acquaintance, who works as security at an airport, shared with me that there is a lot of noise that masks will become mandatory again to fly.

If masks become mandatory, what will you do?

Covid-19 is creeping back into the news cycle. As we head towards the autumn, disease rates are increasing in the community and a recent spike of interest in an Omicron subvariant, EG.5, which the World Health Organization has classified as a variant of interest, has caused concern among those whose memories of recent winters haven?t faded. There is an undeniable feeling of deja vu. So how worried should we be? - The Guardian

By the way...

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has admitted that cloth masks have never been effective. For over two years, the CDC has been forcing both children and adults to cover their faces to participate in an altered version of society. Rand Paul has previously said that these mandates are intended to teach the public to comply with government authority, and he was right.

The CDC?s announcement comes shortly after CNN?s Leana Wen admitted that ?cloth masks are not appropriate for this pandemic.? So for over 22 months, the public has been walking around with a useless piece of fabric over their faces to blindly comply with a completely useless mandate. The CDC previously stated that surgical N95 masks were appropriate ?when supplies are available,? but has since updated that guidance to say ?wear the most protective mask you can that fits well and that you will wear consistently.?

The Sheeple will fall right in line, just like last time. I, on the other hand, will not fall in line, just like I didn't fall in line last time. The people are just like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football that Lucy pulls away at the last moment. The people never have learned, and they never will learn. :deadHorse:

"If masks become mandatory, what will you do? "

I will fly.    Twice.   Then none.
Why in the world?
Because I have already agreed to help (by judging) two NAVHDA tests, one in Southern California, the other in Texas.  First one in October, the second in December - already Chapters are having a hard time getting infills this late.
IF faced with the development of masking requirement, my calling up the Chapter and saying sorry, ain't coming... they would be put in a serious bind.  A test uses 3 judges on every phase and were the team to come up short at last minute, efforts would be made to find a replacement - but I can tell you that this can get expensive for a Last-minute-from-who-knows-where with the distinct possibility that no one can be found to fill in.  In unavoidable emergency, judging teams can and have conducted tests with only two - and believe me, that is not a good thing for them or the dogs/handlers.
So.   Ain't gonna make a "statement" that could hurt someone I've already given my word to.
Otherwise, a new mask mandate will, for me, equate to defcon pandemic/_quarantine_.    I've enough of everything put up that going to a masked market or any other place would become "disadvantageous.   Mask required?   Lost my trade, mate.  Kill or wink-wink at some BS "mandate", back in business.

Masks weren't mandatory in this State, during the first version of the Chinese flu, but we occasionally wore one due to my late wife's health issues.  In the instances when a mask was worn, we used the best masks available, never a plain cloth mask.

I think frequent hand sanitizing is probably more effective at preventing the Chinese virus than wearing a mask.  Avoid crowds, especially at indoors locations.

The latest version of the Chinese virus is very active in middle Tennessee.  I know at least four people that have gotten it in the past couple of weeks.  One was serious enough that he had to be hospitalized, though he has since recovered. All of those that became ill were over 60 years old.

The election is soon, Trump is doing great despite all the BS charges against him, they (deepstate comies) will be pulling everything out of their backsides in order to mess with the election, ballots, counting of ballots, etc...

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

God created Man, Col. Sam Colt made him equal, John Moses Browning turned equality to perfection, Gaston Glock turned perfection into plastic fantastic junk.
