"If masks become mandatory, what will you do? "
I will fly. Twice. Then none.
Why in the world?
Because I have already agreed to help (by judging) two NAVHDA tests, one in Southern California, the other in Texas. First one in October, the second in December - already Chapters are having a hard time getting infills this late.
IF faced with the development of masking requirement, my calling up the Chapter and saying sorry, ain't coming... they would be put in a serious bind. A test uses 3 judges on every phase and were the team to come up short at last minute, efforts would be made to find a replacement - but I can tell you that this can get expensive for a Last-minute-from-who-knows-where with the distinct possibility that no one can be found to fill in. In unavoidable emergency, judging teams can and have conducted tests with only two - and believe me, that is not a good thing for them or the dogs/handlers.
So. Ain't gonna make a "statement" that could hurt someone I've already given my word to.
Otherwise, a new mask mandate will, for me, equate to defcon pandemic/_quarantine_. I've enough of everything put up that going to a masked market or any other place would become "disadvantageous. Mask required? Lost my trade, mate. Kill or wink-wink at some BS "mandate", back in business.
