Razor Wire - Group Buy?

   Here's an interesting offer: https://buffalo.craigslist.org/mad/d/razor-wire-free-shipping-nationwide-an/7015133675.html     If ten people chipped in a $100 each, they would each end up with 4 rolls, or $25 per roll.  Not a bad deal, but distributing it would be the issue.

Razor wire is actually really handy to have for hasty perimeter set up. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have some at your retreat area or at the house.

So it comes to $25- a roll and there is 50' in a roll.

I am in for 4 to 5 also, if we can figure out the logistics. Logistics would involve meeting along the I-81 from Watertown, NY to Danridge, TN. If folks would chip in for a U-Haul trailer, I will make the run. Probably towards the end of January as I am headed to NC around then.

    Coleman's Surplus, near Harrisburg, also sell concertina wire by the pallet, at the same price but without shipping.  https://colemans.com/u-s-g-razor-wire-concertina-type-50-foot  They also sell it in smaller quantities, but at a more substantial price.  And of course, it's available on ebay too.

I know I said that I would take up to 8 if it made the deal go, but I will cover whatever else is left over to get to 40. So I suggest we put a deadline on the order and then go from there.

Also, everyone should be sure to measure where you expect to put the wire. You may end up needing 5 when you thought 4 would work

I'd love to get a few rolls.  But I would have to build it into a doghouse and live in there for a good long time.

And PM is right.  Get an extra rolls.  You will always be 20 or so feet short on measure.

I have a email into the company. I want to know if the delivery is to a loading dock or it will come with a lift gate. I do not have access to a loading dock. Once they get back to me I will post.

I will be bringing it south on January 16th via I-81. I will be at exit the PA. MD. line between 1100-1200 hrs. I will be in Roanoke, VA. around 1400-hrs then going east towards NC.  A more precise time coming closer to Thursday. It is $25- a roll and I would appreciate green Backs when I drop it off.

Wire arrived this afternoon. The pallet had "pancaked" under the weight of the wire so I had to draft the tractor to pull it off the lift gate.

I will load the F150 tomorrow.
