Digital Trails: How the FBI Is Identifying, Tracking and Rounding Up Dissidents
By John W. Whitehead & Nisha Whitehead

A friend sent me this article titled, Digital Trails: How the FBI Is Identifying, Tracking and Rounding Up Dissidents authored by John W. Whitehead & Nisha Whitehead over at The Rutherford Institute.

The article starts out explaining that,

Quote
More than 300 individuals from 40 states have already been charged and another 280 arrested in connection with the events of January 6. As many as 500 others are still being hunted by government agents.

Also included in this data roundup are individuals who may have had nothing to do with the riots but whose cell phone location data identified them as being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Forget about being innocent until proven guilty.

In a suspect society such as ours, the burden of proof has been flipped: now, you start off guilty and have to prove your innocence.

Then moves quickly to the fact that we are willingly giving up our personal information to the DHS and its Washington D.C. alphabet soup Gestapo like agencies. Certainly, the frog in the pot of water theory for sure.

Great 5-minute read. - Enjoy.

I hate to throw wet fire on their blanket but those idiots should not have carried anything trackable with them. No Smart Phones, no Credit cards, or anything else that could be traced or tracked. They also should have been aware of facial recognition video that is all over the place. The Public has been so trained by the Government to use Digital this and Digital that and just make it too easy to find you. Now, here's what I would have done if I were pissed off at the fraudulent election: I would have gotten all those dumbasses to line up at the front door of the FBI headquarters and had each and every person, one by one, file a complaint against anyone that they suspected of voter fraud. That would have overwhelmed the system and tied up the entire FBI for months and months. It would have made bigger news and nobody would have gotten in trouble.

They wouldn't be tied up at all because they would ignore it like everything else that doesn't fit their agenda

That's right but the FBI would have had to take the report and at least file it. With thousands of those reports being filed they would have caused a massive internal workload on the FBI. It would have taken days and days just for the people to file their reports.

Or they could say they're short handed due to covid and only taking "X" number per day. People would lose interest quickly and not wait in line for their turn

Yep, they could say that but then the people could get creative and then start filing their reports at the FBI Field offices all over the Country and and really screw up all the offices. Since I worked in Government, I know how fragile the system can be if one area gets too much focus. When that happens, all the other areas suffer. If they try to drop the entire workload on one or two employees then they can create some internal friction and that would be bad for them. The last thing they want is an insider helping the opposition.

I agree

But as a vet whos been waiting for over a year for a simple hearing test I can say I know how the govt works too. And 99% of the govt employees will do absolutely nothing that will jeopardize their jobs

I'm glad you see a light at the end of the tunnel, it gives me some hope

Im a member of several patriot groups and militia groups online where they congregate and chat. There is a guy who is a private eye who gives out all sorts of information about cell phones. And its all wrong. I have tried to tell him my credentials as working for cellular one, Motorola, etcetc. Various radio stations, and as a ham radio operator. He believes hes smart enough to out wit the feds and cellular folks LOL. I try and tell him the things hes doing got people killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their trying to be smart and sneaky got them a drone strike sent to Allah lol. He thinks he knows best. Im like ok whatever. So I have stopped helping the group. I just told them anyone who thinks you can get a "burner phone" these days is still living in the eighties. Oh well live and learn.

I agree with reconprepper, there's no such thing as a burner phone today.  And PK makes a good point too, don't use anything trackable.  Leave the cellphone at home or wherever, but don't bring it with you.  I went many years without the need for a cellphone, and I generally don't carry one.  I get a lot of flack from family and friends because I don't carry a cellphone.  I don't like being tethered to a digital leash.

This is something to think about regarding the above subject. Watch out for infiltrators in you prepping community. Hmmmmm...... I'll just allow locals that I've known for a long time from my Area Of Operation in my group. Don't overlook the possibility of Big Brother using one of your own members as a snitch. My desire is to be a Lone Wolf but my brain says that is impractical. Just make sure you always know for certain who you are dealing with. :tinfoil:

A few comments and I would appreciate input from the group on them,

1) I bring my cell phone with me in case of emergency. It is turned off and in a EMP bag.
2) I carry a pager for MrsMac to contact me in an emergency. I got the least expensive one that only sends out a telephone
number of the person I am supposed to call. I have also come up with a easy brevity code to add at the end of the
number. As an example, if the number to call is followed with 911 - Well you guess what that means.
3) I trust nobody. Sorry if that offends my friends but anybody can be turned by a alphabet soup agency. Today, I vet ya'
and you are solid, tomorrow you get turned and then you are not. My closest friends and I have a warning word to be
used in typical discussion that can be used to let me know they have been contacted by an ABC Agency. BUT, that isn't
    even foolproof.
4) Last and only recently, I am paying cash when traveling away from home. Is it a pain in the neck...Yupper it is. However,
what Jackalope wrote,  Use cash and a covid mask to maintain anonymity.

Thoughts?

Johny, your cellphone and pager set-ups are good.  Regarding the trust factor, you're absolutely correct.  Trust no one.  There are even things I don't trust my spouse with.  Is it paranoia when the government is out to get you?  I've been known to sweep my residence for transmitters after we've had visitors.  It's a routine precaution that helps me sleep better.  We live in a surveillance age, and everything observed and recorded will be used against you in a court of law (a court where justice is no longer blind).  In general, it's better to live in a rural area as there's less surveillance.  If .gov decides to use a drone to track someone, they're tying up valuable resources, and it's expensive.

If you're really concerned about surveillance, stay home, get rid of all your electronics, and get a dog.  Sometimes there's no easy solution, except be aware and take precautions, as you've done. ;)
