Tech,
I know that contractors and their companies are having a tough time overseas because of broken promises if they even get the contracts. I would be interested to know why they re-enlisted since, while I know that there are many in the service that are sympathetic to liberty, there are so few benefits to this. Unless its something like getting on the wave before it really grows and sweeps up those not suspecting it.
Well, some contractors are employees of companies, some are employees of agencies.
Without speculating, because in all honesty I don't know, I have a few friends who work for agencies as contractors.
I'm pretty sure they're pretty far down the rabbit hole. They can't even tell my enlisted friends with TS clearance
what exactly it is they do or even who they actually work for. We all hang out, BBQ, shoot and drink beer together
anyway. No big deal. Like you, I do wonder what they know that I don't and what would lead to re-enlistment.
Perhaps they see something coming. I don't know and I wouldn't want that burden.
Now, my SF friends who are all about liberty know the deal and they know it best. It's what they do.
When they land in a country, their job is to find the rebels (or perhaps Patriots), arm these individuals, train them
and then help them rid the country of they oppressive leadership.
We're at that crucial time nearing the election. Anything can happen. Israel may start letting bombs drop. Who knows.
You don't want to be a contractor with no way out when that happens.
