Title: What Is Capitalism?
Post by: Burt Gummer on August 29, 2011, 01:21:56 PM
A great short clip that puts into perspective the state of economies before the industrial revolution and now how capitalism is not the bain of society but the salvation, which unfortunately have lost since the 1900's.

Good video, Burt!  Also glad to see you've started a blog.  I cannot wait to see what you add to the discussion in your blog.

I'm currently working on 4 more big articles, I'm going to attempt to pump out one a day during the week ranging from prepping to military stuff to politics to economics. I won't make any of the political and economic stuff to dry, it will be comprehensive and palatable to everyone.
I'm writing one up you might like on how deregulation caused the micro brew explosion. ;D

So this?

That guy is a closet socialist?
His two big gripes are the creation of monopolies and wealth inheritance.
Monopoly is only possible with a government backing it, which is a form of socialism. But do to large amounts of propaganda and aptly misnamed board games have lead to the misinterpretation of it.
And where he really reveals himself, as a socialist is his argument for fairness. He says that it is unfair for a child to inherit money from a family member, because he didn?t earn it and that is a fault of capitalism. But what mr closet socialist did not expand on was why he thinks that unfair and what he thinks should be done about it. He is going off the opinion that the money doesn?t belong to rich guys so it?s not his say of who to give it too. And who better to install an inheritance tax (which we have in America) to redistribute the wealth by the government to the more deserving.

I realize that your still in school and I'm not holding that against you. Just be careful where you get your info or sources, and I hope that you'll be able to detect these kind of misinformation pieces because you will be lied to through omission. In today's schools you almost have to know the subject mater before the teacher talks about it so you can pick out the gaps.

Good input though! :D

fuckin A burt... sure, kinds who inherit fortunes are usually little twats, but who's authority is it to tell them that the money isn't there's? when I die, if I want to leave my guns and my knives to my daughter, does that mean that the government has the right to take 2 out of every 5 knives? or guns?... fuck that shit.
