  The two groups sponsoring Ann Coulter have backed out so she had to cancel her speech. I guess Freedom of speech isn't that important to them.   :thumbsdown:

maybe i'm getting old, but when i was in college - it was a time to confront your beliefs and learn that the world is not black and white.  ... uphill both ways...
Now they have 'free speech' sections on campus - well away from the student body with no possibility of creating a 'hostile' environment.  what is the future value of not learning to engage opposing opinions.

I think all highschool seniors in the US of A should live in a third world country for a year and then come home for college.

i wonder if the generation before me had the same concerns?  :walkingstick:

It's funny how colleges have changed over the centuries. While reading John Adams biography, colleges of his day was where you read books and debated the theory's within the books in the classroom, in both writing (prose) and verbally.
